From Hogga, which is the last lock, the trip goes through Flåvatn, Kviteseidvatn and Bandak to Dalen. Nome county is filled with beautiful nature and landscape, the landscape changes towards Dalen. Bandak is 375-meter-deep consisting of steep mountains into the water. The canal trip starts in the archipelago of Telemark and ends in the dramatic and wild west coast nature. The trip goes through Straumen above Hogga and Kårsteinsundet. The canal boat sails to Flåvatn, the first west water. By Omnes in the north of Flåvatn is Omnes Caravan located. Where you’ll find a guest pier and sanitary facilities.
By Kilen is Kilen Holiday complex, which offers many things for boat tourists, such as groceries. Flåvatn is surrounded by a powerful nature. When you pass this water, the surroundings become narrower and you reach Fjågesundstraumen. This connects Flåvatn and Kviteseidvatn. When you pass Fjågesund bridge you’ll see two red symbols. Keep close (3 meters) close to the red symbols. This is narrow.
Kviteseidvatn
Kviteseidvatn is the second of the west waters. Nature becomes more dramatic. On both sides of this water there is steep high mountains almost 1000 meter tall. Kviteseidvatn centre is located in the inner Sundkilen.
Bandak, Lårdal and Dalen
The trip moves toward Dalen through Straumane to the last west waters, Bandak. Bandak is approximately 3 miles long, where the nature becomes more dramatic. The mountain is steep down towards the water. In the distance you can see snowy mountain tops.
