Bystranda is a popular and family-friendly bathing spot located by the scenic Heddalsvannet lake, just a short walk from the center of Notodden. The beach features soft sand, calm waters, and a large water trampoline — perfect for swimming, playing, and relaxing on warm summer days.
The beach is only a few meters from Notodden Bobilcamp and Nesøya Marina Gjestehavn. If you get hungry, several food options are just steps away, including Burger King and Iskiosken Herligheten, making it easy to grab a bite between swims.
Both Bystranda and Nesøya Marina Gjestehavn offer access to showers and toilets by the parking area, providing comfort and convenience during your beach visit.
From the center of Notodden, follow the E134 highway towards Haugesund for about 350 meters, then turn left — and you’ll arrive directly at the beach.
