Cycling trip 45 km: accomodation Lunde 2n

This package trip includes accommodation at Lunde Hostel and a boat trip from Ulefoss locks to Fjågesund pier including a bicycle ticket. Bring your bicycle and experience the Telemark Canal from both the canal boat and on the bicycle. It is possible to rent bicycles.

Day 1

• Accommodation at Lunde hostel, right outside Lunde city center.

Day 2

• Breakfast at Lunde hostel
• Bicycle trip approx. 10 km towards Ulefoss locks. Parking is accessible at Lunde Hostel or free right by Lunde lock.
• 10:15 am meeting at Ulefoss lock, at the upper level
• 10:35 am departure on board M/S Victoria or M/S Henrik Ibsen from Ulefoss locks.
• 03:20 pm arrival at Fjågesund pier, disembarking.
• Bicycle trip in return to Lunde hostel, the trip is approx. 35 km and mainly on asphalt.
• Back at the hostel it’s possible to relax in the living room or at the terrace with a view of Lunde and Lifjell
• Sleepover at the hostel

You can leave your car parked at Lunde Hostel while on the trip.

There is an open café selling food and drinks on board canal boat. 

Please note that there is no place to buy food/drinks/snacks on the trips between Fjågesund and Lunde. Be sure to bring food and drink. Its recommended to eat a good meal on board the boat towards Fjågesund. 

Please note that there are two tunnels without lighting between Lunde and Vrådal, so its important to bring lights for the bicycle or a headlight. 

Lunde Hostel has 23 rooms, all with individual bathrooms, Wi-Fi and TV. And a nice living room and terrace.

On Mondays there will be a boat change, if you’re on board M/S Victoria from Ulefoss to Lunde then change boat to M/S Henrik Ibsen from Lunde to Fjågesund.
