At Lerkekåsa Vingård, grapes grow in the open air, and you are invited to a romantic overnight stay in large oak barrels amidst the vines. From the double bed you can look straight out into the vineyard, and morning coffee is enjoyed among roses and grape vines.
You are also welcome to stop by for a day visit. The farm shop is open by appointment. Here you can enjoy the idyll while enjoying a waffle and ice cream, and taste the wine produced on the farm. Try their cheese board, which goes well with the drinks they produce.
Fruktbygda, which Lerkekåsa is part of, was referred to by Aftenposten as "Norway's Tuscany" - you can read the story in A-magasinet here.
Here's how to experience the world's northernmost vineyard:
Vineyard experience: Join a vineyard tour and experience the grape plants, see how they grow, learn about the main varieties; names, characteristics and uses, and learn how a grape plant must be cared for to produce good wine. Finally, they offer a tasting of 4 wines and give an insight into how good raw materials can provide the basis for many different wines.
Wine tasting: We smell, taste, smack and laugh. Through tasting, presentation of wine and fruits and sweet berries, guests will gain insight into how good raw materials can provide the basis for many different wines. We tell about the history of wine, how wine is made, and taste wines from our own production. 4 wines.
Accommodation: Enjoy lazy days at the vineyard. Wake up to lark song, start the day with sunny-side up scrambled eggs from the free-range hens, seasoned with herbs from the rich herb garden. Finish in the evening sun with a bubbly glass. The good life. Lerkekåsa offers accommodation in both the well-known wine barrels, but also in a house or cottage on the farm.
